AFG: organizing events
Every other year, AFG organizes the Gas Conference.
> The last edition of the Gas Conference Paris 2011, which was held on 14 and 15 September 2011 was a great success.
These two days gave the 800 delegates the opportunity to meet and hear high level speakers and energy experts in order to discuss the major current energy and gas issues.
Gérard Mestrallet (GDF SUEZ), Jean-Louis Mathias (EDF) , Philippe Boisseau (Total) participated on September 14th, as this day was mainly dealing with the role of gas in today changing international context and in the coming decades to reach environmental objectives and energy needs.
Dominique Jamme (French Energy regulator), Jean-François Cirelli (Eurogas), Olivier Appert (IFP Energies Nouvelles) and Eric Besson (Minister for Energy) attend the Conference on September 15, which was focusing on major European energy files as well as the integration of decentralized power generation into tomorrow’s energy systems. In his closing speech, the Energy Minister reiterated the importance of gas, expressing his belief that this energy will play a key role in the coming years.
> The 2009 edition received nearly 800 participants among which 10% were foreigners. One hundred lecturers debated topical questions as important as the climate change, the security of the gas chain, the energy efficiency of the gas chain, the gas market opening, the gas prices trends, the new gas ressources …
AFG also organizes several times a year the AFG's Rendez Vous. These debates lasting approximately 2 hours enable you to take bearings on specific themes.
